Princeton
Hydro has extensive experience and expertise in
the permitting aspects of development projects
with respect to federal, state and local regulatory
agency compliance. Our expertise in environmental
permitting, jurisdictional assessments and compliance
review stems directly from our staffs educational
background and experience in wetland science,
environmental science, ecology, geology, hydrology
and environmental engineering. Through our projects,
Princeton Hydro has acquired comprehensive familiarity
with pertinent administrative and policy directives
of regulatory agencies such as the U.S. Army Corps
of Engineers, and the U.S. Fish & Wildlife
Service. We are especially well versed in permit
related issues pertaining to wetland and wetland
transition areas, endangered species, stormwater
management, water quality management, waterfront
development and water allocation.
Our environmental
permitting capabilities are greatly facilitated
by the thorough incorporation of Geographic Information
System (GIS) technology into virtually all such
projects and the integration of Global Positioning
System (GPS) technology into our bathymetric surveys
and aquatic resource sampling activities. The
combined use of GIS and GPS enables us to accurately
locate and map sensitive environmental features,
unique site attributes or sampling locations.
Our comprehensive
familiarity with requirements of Section 404 of
the Clean Water Act, Section 10 of the Rivers
and Harbors Act and other pertinent legislation
has enabled us to rapidly develop studies ideally
structured to meet regulatory agency objectives
as well as to convincingly respond to issues of
public concern. Creative restoration and mitigation
plans have emerged as a result of many of these
permitting projects, often becoming critical to
the projects successful planning, design
and construction.
