Wetlands
are an integral component of many ecosystems,
serving as source waters, providing nursery or
spawning grounds for fish, birds and wildlife
and functioning as natural pollutant biofilters.
By applying sound scientific principles and state-of-the-art
design techniques to all areas of wetland study,
Princeton Hydro’s staff has succeeded in
providing creative and cost-effective solutions
for challenging projects. The success of our projects
is attributable to our pragmatic approach and
our integration of the company’s wetland,
aquatic, planning and engineering capabilities.
We have conducted
projects in urban centers, suburban settings and
rural/ agricultural areas. Project experience
encompasses work in freshwater, estuarine and
marine environments and in stream, floodplain
and riparian corridors.
The wetland studies
and applications conducted by the company include:
The creation of wetlands for mine reclamation
Stormwater and wastewater treatment
Wetland mitigation
Riparian restoration
Princeton Hydro
is thoroughly familiar with the federal wetland
delineation methodology. Our personnel have prepared
numerous agency-approved permit applications.
Related to these efforts is our work with municipalities
in the development and implementation of wetland
management ordinances.
