Centuries of land-clearing, agriculture, industry, and urban activities have degraded or impaired many of our waterways and water bodies. For more than a decade, Princeton Hydro has worked at the leading edge of efforts to characterize biologic resources, improve water quality, and enhance aquatic and marine habitats.
Our fisheries biologists and aquatic ecologists are experienced at on-water data collection methods, taxa identification, biological index analyses, and habitat assessments. This is most recently evidenced by our lead in the establishment of mitigation bank sites in marine settings that will serve to off-set natural resource damages and permitting requirements. Our biological investigatory capabilities span:
Fish, shellfish, and benthic invertebrate community characterization
Essential Fish Habitat (EFH) surveys
Fish removal
Game fish stocking
Design and installation of artificial habitat
Zooplankton and phytoplankton sampling and identification
Biomanipulation
Aquatic resource mitigation design, permitting, and oversight
