Threatened & Endangered Species

Home

Princeton Hydro's ecologists conduct surveys for the suitable habitat and presence or absence of a variety of federal and state-listed Threatened and Endangered species in accordance with various state and federal guidelines. Species surveyed include, but are not limited to, wood turtle (Glyptemys insculpta), black-crowned night heron (Nycticorax nycticorax), yellow-crowned night heron (Nyctanassa violacea), northern pine snake (Pituophis melanoleucus) barred owl (Strix varia) and swamp pink (Helonias bullata). Additionally, we routinely couple our in-depth understanding of the life history requirements of threatened or endangered species and guilds into our design of habitat restoration and mitigation sites.
