Geotechnical Engineer/Construction Project Manager Position

Princeton Hydro, LLC is looking for a mid-level Geotechnical Engineer and Construction Project Manager available to work primarily at the Company's Sicklerville, NJ office.

Applicants should have a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a concentration (or extra course work) in geotechnical engineering. Preference will be given to those applicants with a Master of Science. At minimum, an Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification is required. New Jersey Professional Engineering Licensure or the ability to obtain licensure is preferred.   

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proven track record of successful responsibility both in terms of increased project complexity and project role (i.e., project engineer-to-project manager, client contact progression, budget responsibility, etc.), as well as technical deliverable preparation. The ability to independently solve engineering problems, concerns, or conflicts and take on a project ownership role is essential.  

A minimum of 4-to-6 years of relevant experience and progressive responsibility within several areas with the following areas being required: performance of geotechnical field investigations (e.g., observing and logging test borings, test pits, evaluation of seasonal high water table, performing infiltration testing), geotechnical and construction field inspection (e.g., subgrade, foundations, earthwork, stormwater management facilities, concrete, pavement, masonry, structural steel, etc.), performance or familiarity with soils laboratory testing, soils classification, performance of technical analysis and calculations (i.e., soil bearing capacity, shallow and deep foundation design, various earth retaining system designs, and development of SWM recommendations), dam compliance, dam rehabilitation design, shoreline protection design, and experience preparing project design plans, technical specifications, engineer’s estimates, and complete critical-path project schedules. 

Experience or familiarity with analytical/environmental sampling, environmental site design (i.e., erosion and sediment control and stormwater management design), and obtainment of various environmental permits or other project approvals is preferred. Significant design and drafting (i.e., AutoCAD) experience, while not required, is also preferred. 

The ideal candidate will possess a positive pro-active attitude, the ability to work closely with, be mentored by, and effectively communicate with other technical staff, have a strong desire to develop technical abilities, professionally interact with subcontractors, clients, and contractors, appropriately perform, document, and discuss various types of field activities, apply engineering principles, take pride and have a sense of ownership of their work, and perform travel to various job sites (as needed, primarily during normal business hours). WATER RESOURCE ENGINEER position

The level of experience can range from recent college graduation to eight years of experience. The right person for this position has a positive attitude, a love of the outdoors and is passionate about all things related to water.

This position requires interaction with engineers, scientists, ecologists, regulators, contractors, and clients, focusing primarily on the analysis, modeling, design, permitting and construction oversight for a variety of water resource projects. This position requires the capability and willingness to participate in physically demanding field work in remote locations and travel to job sites throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions, and between the Company's offices as needed. This is an exciting and highly rewarding job.
