Evan Kwityn

Evan’s academic and professional expertise resides in fisheries biology and ecosystem ecology. Through his career, he has used statistical analyses and models to examine aquatic ecology, ecosystem-based management, and population dynamics. In addition, he has extensive knowledge of fish behaviors based on capture processes and the challenges affecting commercial and recreational fisheries. 

Evan currently provides assistance to various water quality, biological sampling, and statistical projects. He is committed to effectively communicating empirical and quantitative scientific results with non-scientists, with the hopes of helping to shape environmental policy that depends on good, well-understood science.

When not at work, Evan enjoys relaxing on a hammock or traveling to unfamiliar geographic regions with the aim of catching exciting new fish species.
