Aquatic Technician/Operator

Princeton Hydro is looking for qualified individuals to perform pond and lake management services in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, Delaware and Maryland. The position will be full-time and located in our main office in Ringoes, New Jersey. 


PRIMARY JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Service and maintain boats, equipment, machines, trailers and vehicles
  • Maintain service logs for equipment, machines, boats, trailers and vehicles 
  • Install and remove water fountains
  • Troubleshoot, service and repair water fountains, pumps and aeration systems
  • Install and service water fountains, pumps and aeration systems
  • Operate various size boats and specialty amphibious machine

ADDITIONAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Management of algae and vegetation in aquatic environments
  • Application of aquatic pesticides and non-pesticide products
  • Pond and lake assessments
  • Install and service water fountains and aeration systems
  • Perform various activities in aquatic environment 

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • 1-3 years of experience in pond and lake management or similar industry
  • Licensed pesticide applicator
  • Licensed boat operator
  • Experience with electricity, engines and pumps
  • Experience with pump, engine and machine servicing 
  • Experience with driving a truck and towing boats/trailers 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to swim
  • Must be willing to work with pesticides
  • Must be willing to travel and stay overnight occasionally
  • Must be a team player 
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with colleagues and clients
  • Must be physically fit and able to lift/carry objects in excess of 50lbs
  • Must be able to work independently and as a part of a team
